Similarly, you can also add audio, image, and text to the video. Performance wise though, it doesn't do so well for me compared to lightworks, if that matters to you. To import videos into VSDC editor you need to click the editor option from the taskbar and select add object then click on a video which you would like to import. Since it is a non-linear editor, you can cut, transfer, modify the video and audio. It includes clipping videos, making video collages, adding transitions between video segments, adding music in segments, add effects, adjusting the video hue, and so on. Compared to things like Adobe Premiere Pro or Hitfilm it is easier to learn, but that doesnt mean its not going to be hard at first. It is the main function of VSDC Free Video Editor and the editing tools are very powerful. A little harder to learn i'd say but definitely worth a try. I came here to say this, the editor isnt too fully featured but basic editing, cutting, some colour work it can handle. They recently released the express version completely for free, which is great because it's a neat editor/compositor with a lot of built in 3d effects and such. If you don't like lightworks, you could always try Hitfilm 3 Express. One last thing, the in editor text tool isn't too good, jagged edges and just the appearance of not being sharp are problems I've personally encountered with lightworks, so if you're doing a lot of stuff involving text on screen maybe you should consider that.
Keep in mind video effects in lightworks are comparatively basic (probably the worst example of this is lightworks as far as I know doesn't have a feature that allows you to slowly zoom into a shot) but you get what you pay for.
#Using vsdc video editor 720p
On the issue of 720p video output, you will have to decide whether or not it's worth it for you.
