When it originally game out, I was skeptical about a Halo RTS, but it turned out fantastic. It does a fantastic job turning the Halo gameplay into an RTS format. This game is one of my favorite Halo games.

Will we see more HALO on PC ? We can only hope for it. Will one of the best console RTS purge the taylorism plague on PC ? Of course not, just look at users note.
In the end, it makes a fun game, but not flawless. Discover units and powers, their forces and weaknesses, dev tree is easily adaptable depending on your situation, rushers are more easy to counter than SC where APM and reflexes are more important than a good strategy, Using a controller is far more confortable than the K&M combo, even faster in some situations, just get used to it, you'll see what I mean (can't wait to try it on SmachZ). You honestly can't compare it to any Starcraft wannabe, it aims for simplicity and effectiveness, no micromanagement stuff: tactic has been reduced to focus more on strategy, that's why so many pepole complain about it. Since the C&C franchise vanished, trying to bring back this genra to consoles was only attempted by Microsoft with HW, copying Dawn of war "ground control" scheme, for the best or the worst, take your pick. The combat system is based on the cycle of power: infantry is easy prey for armored vehicles, aviation destroys ground equipment, but is vulnerable to rocket launchers of foot troops. The gameplay is similar, but the bases are graphically different. The buildings also differ depending on the chosen side of the conflict. The choice of the commander in chief affects the represented warriors and skill trees. The aliens, in turn, choose from such a list: the Bugai Chief, the Arbiter and the Prophet of Sorrow. People have a choice of: James Cutter, Sergeant Forge, and Professor Anders. They have 3 of their own leaders to choose from. The usual UNSC and Covenants will become the playable parties to the conflicts. It is impossible to take control of this race in single battles, but they have their own units among aviation. In the course of the story, locations will change in several dimensions with the ultimate goal of finding the ancient race of Forerunners. The ship's captain, James Cutter, dispatches a squad of warriors on a reconnaissance mission on the surface. Starting two decades before Halo: Combat Evolved, the Spirit of Fire spacecraft is sent by the UNSC to investigate and disrupt the Covenant's plans in Harvest, the planet where humanity first encountered an alien race.

Fans will appreciate the additions to the complete history of the UNSC (United Nations Space Command) and Covenant war, and people not familiar with the series have the opportunity to understand the plot without going through the previous parts, made in the shooter genre.
